Youth joins the war for RH Bill

On Wednesday, August 1, youth groups led by the Reproductive Health and Gender Advocates’ Movement (RH AGENDA) and the Student Council Alliance of the Philippines (SCAP) will troop to Batasan Complex in order to urge lawmakers to put the RH Bill to a vote. They will be marching from the Commission of Human Rights (CHR) where they will first conduct a dialogue with Chairperson Loretta Ann Rosales, reaffirming the issue of reproductive health as a human right. Also present will be pro-RH groups such as the Reproductive Health Advocacy Network (RHAN) and the Forum on Family Planning and Development, and students from Metro Manila campuses represented by their student councils and Akbayan! Youth. Known pro-RH personalities such as Risa Hontiveros and Rep. Walden Bello, among others, will be in attendance.
