Do It Right advocacy (DIR) has been helping the community to become aware of environmental concerns since 2009. We distributed goods after Typhoon Ondoy. Our contributors included students, private citizens and teachers from different parts of the nation. Since then DIR reached out as far as Aklan for Reproductive Health Forums and Feeding Programs.

In 2011, DIR held an event entitled “RH through the eyes of the Youth” at Conspiracy Bar, with participants from the Democratic Socialist Women of the Philippines (DSWP), Alliance of Young Nurses League Association (AYNLA), The Library Foundation (TLF), National Youth Consortium (NYC), Critical Thinking Filipinos (CTF), Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Trangender Rights (LGBTs) and Dead Heroes Society (DHS). The event was covered by Mulat Pinoy.
We reached and helped PESANTE Filipinas, which is composed of farmers, in their last Congress at Calauan, Laguna. The event was attended by Vice President Jejomar Binay and the Philippines 12 provinces. DIR helped them share their message and concern during their closed door meeting at the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) office in Quezon City. For 2012, DIR conducted awareness programs a press conference with the DSWP Chair Elizabeth Angsioco as speaker, and with different Media Practitioners from Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon.

On April 22, 2012, we celebrate EARTH DAY with the theme “Earth Day today, everyday and everywhere.” With the help of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), DIR has invited a fellow environmentalist, Earth Day Network Philippines President himself Guilberto “Bert” Guevarra, to speak. This is DIR’s way of sharing information the community needs to help the environment.
