In celebration Over 6,000 women from all walks of life will brave the
afternoon sun and go the distance to make yet another sacrifice to show broad support for the passage of the highly debated Reproductive Health Bill.

The activity themed, “Women’s Long March towards the passage of the RH Bill!” is a six kilometer-long women’s march that will symbolize the many sacrifices made by women in this on-going battle for the Reproductive Health (RH) bill. The event will dramatize the 13-year-old battle for the enactment of the measure.

WHAT:
“WOMEN’S LONG MARCH TOWARDS THE PASSAGE OF THE RH BILL”

WHEN:
TUESDAY, 8 March 2011

DETAILS:
Activity schedule is as follow:
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
1st Contingent – 1,000 pax mostly youth – will assemble in front of
the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) along Commonwealth Avenue from 1:00 to 1:30 pm and kick off march to St. Peter Parish will be from
1:30 to 3:00 pm.

2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
2nd Contingent will assemble in front of St. Peter Parish to practice
chants and drumbeat to be led by Pinikpikan. Mob will use improvised
materials (pots, pans, sticks, etc)

3:00 pm – 3:30 pm
Merging (salubong) of 1st Contingent from CHR with 2nd Contingent at
St. Peter Parish. There will be a short program to highlight the Catholic Church hierarchy’s insensitivity, hypocrisy, and sexual abuse.

3:30 pm – 4:30 pm
March to the House of Representatives (Batasan)

4:30 pm – 5:00 pm
Formation of mob along the sidewalk of Serbisyong Bayan Park across
South Wing Gate, HOR

5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Cultural and Solidarity Program, Entrance Gate House of Representatives
